The RZIM Apologetics Archive: Complete Guide
People searching for the RZIM archive usually want an answer to one question: where did it go? The honest answer is that it was largely withdrawn. Ravi Zacharias built an international apologetics ministry over more than three decades; after his death in 2020, an independent investigation commissioned by his own organisation substantiated serious allegations of sexual misconduct, and the ministry removed much of his material from its channels and restructured. This page sets out what the archive contained, what happened to it, and where the field went afterwards.

What Is the RZIM Apologetics Archive?
Ravi Zacharias (1946–2020) was born in India, emigrated to Canada and became one of the most widely heard Christian apologists of his generation. He founded Ravi Zacharias International Ministries in 1984, and its work centred on public lectures at universities, open forums with sceptical audiences, the radio programmes Let My People Think and Just Thinking, and a substantial list of books. RZIM grew into an international organisation with offices in several countries, its own humanitarian arm, and a roster of speakers alongside Zacharias himself.
He died in May 2020. Allegations of sexual misconduct surfaced publicly later that year, and RZIM commissioned an independent investigation by an outside law firm. The report released in February 2021 substantiated allegations of sexual abuse and misconduct. RZIM issued an apology, established a fund for victims, withdrew a large amount of Zacharias' material from its channels, and moved away from operating as an apologetics ministry; several speakers left and established separate organisations. The result is that the archive most people are searching for no longer exists as a maintained public collection.
What's Inside the Archive
What follows describes what the archive contained at its height. Availability today is a different matter: much of it has been removed from official channels, and copies circulating on third-party platforms are outside the ministry's control and outside any rights you can rely on.
- University lectures and open forums, the format most associated with the ministry, in which a talk was followed by unscreened audience questions
- The Let My People Think and Just Thinking radio and podcast programmes
- Conference addresses and debates with sceptics and other public figures
- A substantial list of published books on apologetics and belief, which remain in print status determined by their publishers
- Material from RZIM's international offices and its associated speakers, much of which has since moved to other organisations
How to Access the RZIM Archive
There is no maintained public archive to point you to. The following is what is accurate as of now, and it is worth checking rather than assuming, because the organisational picture has continued to change.
RZIM's own channels
Much of Zacharias' material was withdrawn following the 2021 report, and the organisation restructured away from apologetics work. Do not assume older links still resolve.
Third-party uploads
Recordings circulate on video platforms outside the ministry's control. Provenance and rights on these are unreliable, and edited uploads are common.
Published books
His books were issued by mainstream publishers, whose decisions about continued publication are their own; availability varies by title and by retailer.
Successor ministries
Several RZIM speakers established separate organisations after 2021 and publish their own apologetics material, which is where the ongoing work in this field now sits.

Want a Transcript of a Sermon from This Archive?
This archive is a case study in why an archive you do not control is not an archive. Material that lived only on one organisation's platforms became unavailable when that organisation changed course, and what remains in circulation is largely unverifiable third-party uploads of uncertain provenance and edit history.
If you are researching this period, treat any recording you find with the caution you would apply to any unsourced upload: check who posted it, whether it is complete, and whether the surrounding context is intact. A transcript of a clip proves what the clip says, not what was originally said.
For apologetics teaching that remains under active, documented stewardship, our Ligonier archive page covers R.C. Sproul's teaching library, and the R.C. Sproul famous sermons profile covers his best-known material.
Transcribe sermon audio freeHow RZIM's approach can inspire your church's archive
There are real archive lessons here, and they are uncomfortable ones. They are worth stating plainly rather than avoiding.
1.An archive on someone else's platform is on loan
When RZIM withdrew the material, listeners who had relied on streaming lost access entirely. Anything you actually need, download and keep, within whatever rights you hold.
2.A ministry built on one name inherits that name's risk
The organisation could not separate its work from its founder because it had never been structured to. Archives with multiple teachers, and institutions with governance independent of their best-known figure, survive events that single-name ministries do not.
3.Accountability is an archive question too
The investigation happened because an outside firm was given real access. Ministries that document decisions, keep records and permit external review leave behind something a successor can actually work with.

Frequently asked questions
What happened to Ravi Zacharias?
He died of cancer in May 2020. Later that year, allegations of sexual misconduct became public, and RZIM commissioned an independent investigation by an outside law firm. The report released in February 2021 substantiated allegations of sexual abuse and misconduct. RZIM apologised, established a fund for victims, and withdrew much of his material from its channels.
Is RZIM still operating?
Not as the apologetics ministry it was. Following the 2021 report the organisation restructured, stepped back from its previous work, and a number of its speakers left to form separate ministries. Because the organisational position has continued to change, check the current state directly rather than relying on any description written earlier, including this one.
Are Ravi Zacharias talks free?
Much of the material that was once published free on RZIM's own channels has been withdrawn. Recordings still circulate on third-party platforms, but these are outside the ministry's control, their provenance and completeness cannot be verified, and no reliable rights attach to them. There is no maintained free official archive to point to.
What is apologetics?
Apologetics is the discipline of giving reasoned answers for Christian belief, engaging objections from philosophy, science, history and comparative religion. The term comes from the Greek word for a defence or reasoned reply, used in 1 Peter 3:15. RZIM's particular format, a public lecture followed by unscreened questions from a sceptical audience, was one of the most visible expressions of it in recent decades.
Where did RZIM's other speakers go?
Several established or joined separate organisations after 2021 and continue to publish apologetics teaching under those names. Their current work is where the ongoing material in this field sits, rather than in the RZIM archive.
Should I still quote Ravi Zacharias?
That is a judgement for you, not for this page, but two practical points matter. First, the findings of the 2021 investigation are a matter of public record and readers will know them. Second, recordings circulating outside official channels cannot be verified for completeness or accuracy, so a quotation drawn from one carries a sourcing problem on top of everything else.
Your church is building an archive too
Every Sunday recording is a future archive entry. Transcribe it in about five minutes, publish it as searchable text, and your congregation's preaching starts compounding the way these collections did.
