John Piper became pastor for preaching and vision at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Minneapolis in 1980, having previously taught biblical studies at Bethel College. He preached there for thirty-three years, stepping out of the senior role in 2013 and continuing since as chancellor of Bethlehem College and Seminary.
